My first experience of collograph printmaking, with tutor Sophie Fordham at Roseland Mews Studio. I did these three, based on my sketches of fields/trees/hills. The process of using cut or torn textures papers and adhesive tapes created shapes that overlapped, and edges giving the lines. I’d like to spend more time on this so will consider getting a small press for my studio.     Related Images:

a beautiful nest

A wren is enjoying the comforts of the garage. She took over a swallow’s nest last year a few weeks before the swallows arrived, has made further improvements again this year, creating this beautifully crafted nest. The swallows built new just to the left. They now have three nests in the garage, all produced young, that’s much better than previous years, and now they are feeding their second brood. Wren and swallows get used to me walking through the garage to get to my studio.
