Coronavirus and Climate Change I’m writing this at a time of global crisis as the Coronavirus pandemic has spread around the world – every country is forced to lockdown and cope with this crisis. Here in the UK those of us who are not key workers are staying at home to avoid spreading the virus. All public gatherings are cancelled, shops selling non-essentials are closed, schools are open only for the children of key workers, care workers are at risk without personal protective equipment (PPE). This global crisis could lead to positive change…. for the climate and for equality across the world. ‘Hope is everywhere… but without demands hope is simply standing in the way of the major change that is required.
