Walking in the Marke Valley, on the side of Caradon Hill, passing shafts, addits and buddles that were in use during the mining period - copper and tin were mined here throughout the 1800's.
I stopped to look at this little shed.

This shed seemed to fit my latest paintings!
It's the colours - the rust and the grey of the old corrugated iron sheets.
It's the weathered and textured surface.
And the fact that after all this time, it's still just there.
Time and place.
I'm re-using some old canvases, allowing some of the original painting to show or influence the new composition.
Here are the two small ones.
